Virat Kohli to Have Anushka for Company at Boxing Day Test at MCG

Virat Kohli hopes to overturn his lackluster batting show in the second Test at Brisbane at the crucial third Test starting at the Melbourne Cricket Ground on Thursday. Apart from his batting skills, Virat Kohli should enjoy a big slice of Lady Luck as girl-friend Anushka Sharma is expected to be in the stands watching the Test match as India aim to recover from two-nil down in the four-Test series.

According to entertainment website pinkvilla.com, Anushka has landed in Melbourne to take a well-deserved break after the success of her film PK with superstar Aamir Khan. Anushka will be spending the New Year with beau Kohli, the website reported.
Kohli has been making headlines for the wrong reasons this week. The Indian vice-captain was reportedly involved in a dressing-room skirmish with teammate Shikhar Dhawan after losing his wicket cheaply in the Brisbane Test that India lost by four wickets.
Kohli has been India’s most successful batsman on this Test tour after scoring back-to-back centuries in the first Test at Adelaide, which he captained in the absence of an injured Mahendra Singh Dhoni. Better sense should prevail in the MCG Test that India must win to remain alive in the series. The Indians have been slammed for their frayed tempers and lack of performance during critical moments.
In times of stress and crisis, wives and girlfriends have provided much-needed support to passionate and high-performing athletes across sports. The BCCI has allowed wives to travel to Australia, but there is no room for girlfriends, even the official ones. Anushka’s presence in the team hotel during India’s disastrous tour of England earlier this year created quite an uproar.
Of course, runs from Kohli’s bat and an elusive Indian win should keep the critics quiet. For the record, the last five Tests played by Australia versus India at MCG have been won by the home team.
