Sashikala re-admitted her nephews TTV Dinakaran and Venkatesan into the party.

10-dinakaran1200CHENNAI: A day after V.K. Sasikala put in place a plan of succession by getting PWD Minister Edappadi K. Palanaswami, as the leader of the AIADMK Legislative Party,  she re-admitted her nephews TTV Dinakaran and Venkatesan,  into the party.

Both her nephews were expelled from the party by former Chief Minister Jayalalithaa in 2011. Rejecting her plea to be allowed some time before surrendering to serve her sentence, the Supreme Court asked her to surrender immediately.

Ms. Sasikala and Mr. Palaniswami have been booked for alleged detention of AIADMK MLAs on a complaint from an MLA with the Panneerselvam camp.Based on a complaint filed by Madurai South MLA, Saravanan (who escaped from resort and now in Panneerselvam camp), police conducted an enquiry at Golden Bay Resort, says Inbadurai, Radhapuram MLA (Sasikala camp).

Mutharasi, Superintendent of Police, Kancheepuram district goes inside Golden Bay Resort. The court hall where AIADMK General Secretary V K Sasikala is to surrender today has been shifted to the central jail at Parapppana Agrahara due to security reasons.

The Karnataka High Court Registrar accepted a request by Bengaluru City Police to shift the court hall in the city citing security and other considerations, official sources said. No Section 144 in place as claimed by his subordinates, says Deputy Commissoner of Police (South East).”Sufficient number of police have been deployed at the venue,” he added.
As the first sign of rebellion against the appointment of TTV Dinakaran as party’s Deputy General Secretary, AIADMK Organising Secretary V. Karuppasamy Pandian quits.Mr. Pandian says he has been forced to take the step as Mr. Dinakaran, who was removed from the party by Jayalalithaa, was made the Deputy General Secretary of the party.
He alleges Sasikala had transformed the party into their family property.Mr. Pandian was made the Organising Secretary only three weeks back.
Meanwhile, M.K. Stalin says the appointment of T.T.V. Dinakaran as Deputy General Secretary is an intra-party affair of the AIADMK and that he has no comments. He also says the information that the DMK has convened a meeting of its MLAs this evening is also wrong. Stalin says no instructions were given to DMK MLAs to come to Chennai.
Security has been increased at the city civil court but not much outside Parappana jail. Police say that last time barricades were placed several hours before Jayalalitha’s arrival.

Slowly, Sasikala’s supporters have started coming down. “We are checking with our cadres in Poes garden to see if she has started,” says Kathir, a supporter in Bengaluru. Some of them will be going to the border to accompany her.
