PUDUCHERRY :Puducherry is experiencing intermittent rains under the influence of Cyclone Nada. The administration has pressed into service 16 Emergency Service Teams for relief and rescue operations.
It has opened around 180 relief centres to shelter evacuees from low-lying areas. Two teams of National Disaster Response Force (NDRF) has already reached the Union Territory.

Nada is expected to make landfall south of Puducherry in the early hours tomorrow. Sea continues to be rough. Fishermen have been advised not to venture into the sea.
