UP IAS deliberately miss catches, to appease CM Akhilesh Yadav
NEW DELHI: They bowled slow deliveries, missed easy catches and misfielded so that their boss’ team can win the friendly cricket match. Uttar Pradesh IAS officers did every possible thing to ensure a smooth win for their boss Chief Minister Akhilesh Yadav ‘s team.
The video of the Chief Minister’s XI and Uttar Pradesh IAS Officers Association XI friendly match at Lucknow shows players of the IAS officers XI team deliberately bowling slow deliveries to CM Akhilesh Yadav. While batting first, the CM’s team scored 127 runs in 20 overs. While chasing the score, IAS XI could manage to score only 126 runs in the given overs.
Yadav was declared ‘Man of the Match’ for his 65-run contribution in the team’s won. This was fourth year in a row that he won the MoM trophy. Akhilesh slammed 11 boundaries and 1 six.
In the last two over, IAS XI needed three runs to level the score and four runs to win the match. But they could manages to score only two runs at the end of the 20 overs.
