7.2 Earthquake Strikes Tajikistan, Tremors Felt In Delhi
NEW DELHI: An earthquake measuring 7.2 magnitude struck in Tajikistan on Monday, shaking buildings as far away as the Indian capital of New Delhi and in Pakistan, the US. Geological Survey and witnesses said.
The epicentre of the quake was 111 km (65 miles) southwest of Karakul, the USGS said.Tremors were felt in New Delhi, and Jammu and Kashmir and the aftershocks were felt in Pakistan as well.
No loss of life has been reported thus far.
