Next time opposition will be seen in audience gallery.. Modi

NEW DELHI : Prime Minister Narendra Modi reiterated his promise to take the Indian economy forward. This time he refrained from presenting any figures but claimed that in his third term the economy will be the third largest economy in the world. He said, “This is Modi’s guarantee.” This was Prime Minister Modi’s last speech in Parliament in his second term.

Quoting then Finance Minister P Chidambaram, Modi said, “In 2014, India was the 11th largest economy. Today, India is the 5th largest economy. Yet they (Congress) are silent.. Congress saw a dream that India Will become the third largest power in 30 years. We will not let the country wait for so long. This is Modi’s guarantee that in our third term, India will be the third largest economic power…” Modi said, the opposition should be happy with his government’s promise to take India to the third position in its tenure,” as they were happy with the 11th position. In 2014 they (Congress) had said that India would be the third largest economy by 2044. That was his approach.”
While replying to the motion of thanks on the President’s address in the Lok Sabha, PM Modi took a dig at the Congress. Quoting the then Finance Minister P. Chidambaram, who presented the interim budget for 2014-15, Modi said the grand old party had the distinction of having the 11th largest economy in 2014.
The BJP has expressed confidence that the Narendra Modi government will come back for the third consecutive time with an overwhelming mandate. Responding to the motion of thanks on President Draupadi Murmu’s speech last week, Modi compared his development agenda with the negative culture of the opposition. The Prime Minister said, “The world is impressed by India. The G20 summit is proof of this.
Modi also spoke about his government’ initiatives like EWS reservation, maternity benefit, etc. He said that in a major initiative, over 1,400 redundant laws had also been scrapped during the 16th Lok Sabha Modi also listed the achievements of his government in the last 10 years since 2014. Said- “We built 4 crore houses for the poor. We built 80 lakh pucca houses for the urban poor. If these had been built at the speed of Congress… then it would have taken 100 years to complete this work. Five generations would have passed. ”
Describing the abolition of the British-era penal code as the dream of a developed India, the PM said, ‘Lord Ram has not only returned home, but has also returned to such a grand temple that it is certain that ‘this time it will cross 400’. Even Kharge ji (Mallikarjun Kharge) is saying this. Not only will NDA win 400+ seats, but BJP itself will win 370 seats.
PM Modi also targeted the opposition parties, especially the Congress and said that I and the country’s confidence has been confirmed that they have resolved to stay there (in the opposition) for a long time. The way you people are working hard these days. , I firmly believe that the public will definitely bless you and you will reach greater heights than what you are at and will be seen in the audience in the next elections.
Modi first repeated the lines from Prime Minister Jawaharlal Nehru’s speech in which he had asked Indians to work more. Prime Minister PM said that Congress has never shown confidence in the efficiency of Indians. Nehru had said in his speech that, “India is not generally in the habit of doing a lot of hard work. It is not our fault, such habits develop by accident. The thing is that we do not work as much as Europe, Japan, China or Russia and America do. ,
Without taking the name of Rahul Gandhi, PM Modi said that due to launching the same product again and again, the Congress shop has come to the point of being locked. The country has had to bear the brunt of nepotism. Congress has also borne this brunt. The Congress party is the biggest culprit for the condition of the opposition today.
He said that Congress got a huge opportunity to become a good opposition and 10 years is not too short. But he completely failed to fulfill that responsibility even in 10 years. When he himself failed, there were more promising people in the opposition and they too were not allowed to emerge.
