Jayalalithaa feared being poisoned, claims Party leader

Pichumani_PandianCHENNAI : AIADMK leader P.H. Pandian and his son, Manoj Pandian, a former Rajya Sabha member, on Tuesday came out with statements on the death of former Chief Minister Jayalalithaa and the issues surrounding V.K. Sasikala Natarajan’s elevation within the party as general secretary and her being chosen as the Chief Minister of Tamil Nadu.

At a press meet in Chennai, Mr. P.H. Pandian claimed that Ms. Natarajan is not eligible to become the party’s general secretary or the chief minister. “It’s because of the blessings of late Chief Ministers Jayalalithaa and M.G. Ramachandran that Ms. Natarajan’s swearing-in ceremony didn’t take place,” he said.

Mr. Manoj Pandian claimed that Jayalalithaa had told him that she feared being poisoned.The two leaders said they would spell out their future plans on February 24.
