Class 11 Student Murdered Pradyuman To Postpone Exams, Says CBI
NEW DELHI : A senior student from Ryan International School murdered Pradyuman Thakur to postpone exams and parent-teacher meeting, confirmed CBI officials on Wednesday. The CBI, however ruled out any sexual angle in the incident, reported channels quoting sources.
A 11th student standard had been detained in the murder case of Pradyuman Thakur in Gurugram on Tuesday night. “After thorough investigation based on scientific evidences including inspection of scene of crime, forensic analysis, analysis of CCTV & call records, CBI apprehended the student,” CBI spokesperson Abhishek Dayal.
In a sudden twist to the mysterious murder case of the 7-year-old, that is now been investigated by the CBI, this comes as a major breakthrough The CBI release an official statement later in the morning today. “Initial investigation has revealed that accused student wanted exams as well as parent-teaching meeting(PTM) to be postponed, ” said Dayal.
Till now a school bus conductor at Gurgaon’s Ryan International School was the prime accused in the murder of the seven-year-old. The seven-year-old Pradyuman Thakur was found dead inside the washroom of Gurgaon’s Ryan International School on the morning of September 8, 2017.
The Class II boy’s body was discovered by fellow school students at around 8 am – Pradyuman was found with his throat slit and a knife near his body. Postmortem later revealed that a 18×2-cm neck-to-ear cut was what killed the child.
According to Sources the senior student had a history of bad behaviour and was seen with a knife inside school campus on the day of the murder. The detained student is suspected of having watched a pornographic clip in the morning, and on seeing Pradhuman Thakur in the school bathroom, he might have tried to sexually assault him when he entered it, minutes after he was dropped by his father, reported IANS.
The arrested minor reportedly told two classmates, not to worry about upcoming exams as he’ll do something to ‘handle’ it. Furthermore, he had planned to hurt a student but did not specifically target Pradyuman.
“They (CBI) arrested my son last night. My son has not committed the crime. He informed gardener and teachers,” said the father of the arrested student, further alleging that the CBI tried to force them to sign the confession documents.
“There was no spot of blood on my child’s clothes. He was giving the exam,” said the father. The 16-year-old was reportedly the first person to inform about Pradyuman’s body in the bathroom. The arrested minor will now be produced before the Juvenile Justice Board on Wednesday afternoon.
