Anumula Revanth Reddy sworn in as Chief Minister of Telangana

HYDERABAD: A Revanath Reddy the new Chief Minister of Telangana ,has signed a file related to the six guarantees promised during the election campaign. He also signed papers providing a job to Rajani, a physically challenged woman.
Mr Reddy was administered the oath of office by Telangana Governor Tamilisai Soundararajan at a ceremony at Lal Bahadur Shastri Stadium in Hyderabad before a crowd of nearly 1 lakh. Before he took the oath of office, Mr Reddy and Mrs Gandhi held a victory lap inside the stadium in an open vehicle. Posters of Anumula Revanth Reddy was plastered across Hyderabad city on Thursday ahead of him taking oath as chief minister of Telangana, after the Congress party emerged victorious in the Telangana Assembly polls.

Reddy, chief of Telangana Congress who played a key role in the party’s thumping victory in the November 30 Assembly polls, was today sworn in as the state’s second Chief Minister. Prime Minister Narendra Modi congratulated Mr Reddy on the occasion, assuring his full support to Telangana’s progress.
Apart from the CM and deputy CM, 10 ministers took oath today. The list includes N Uttam Kumar Reddy, Komatireddy Venkata Reddy, C Damodar Rajanarasimha, D Sridhar Babu, Ponguleti Srinivas Reddy, Ponnam Prabhakar, Konda Surekha, D Anasuya (popularly known as Seethakka), Tummala Nageswara Rao and Jupally Krishna Rao. Below are more details about the 11 ministers of Reddy who will govern Telangana for the next five years.
Congress national president Mallikarjun Kharge, Congress Parliamentary Party Chairperson Sonia Gandhi was present for the swearing-in ceremony. Party leader Rahul Gandhi, and Priyanka Gandhi Karnataka CM Siddaramaiah and Deputy CM DK Shivakumar, Himachal Pradesh CM Sukhvinder Singh Sukhu also took part in the occasion.
The Congress wrested power from the Bharat Rashtra Samiti (BRS) in the recent Assembly polls and won 64 out of the total 119 seats. Bharat Rashtra Samithi (BRS), which ruled India’s youngest state for 10 years, won 38 seats. The BJP won eight seats, and AIMIM got seven.
Meanwhile, At the BJP Parliamentary Party Meeting on Thursday. The Prime Minister Narendra Modi was quoted by news agency ANI as saying, “The election results were excellent and our strength doubled in Mizoram also. Our strength has increased manifold in Telangana.”
