BJP MLA Jitendra Shunty attacked in Delhi
NEW DELHI :An Unidentified gunmen opened fire at Delhi BJP legislator Jitender Singh Shunty on Wednesday at around 6 am outside his residence. Although three bullets were fired but the MLA escaped unhurt.The shootout was captured in the CCTV cameras installed at his homeShunty is a legislator from Shahdara assembly seat in northeast Delhi.
Sources in the police said that the an unidentified man wearing a helmet rang the doorbell and called out Shunty, asking him to attest some documents.

The police is trying to identify the shooters.The incident happened at 6am outside the MLA’s house located in Jhilmil Colony, Vivek Vihar. Two men came on bike and called him out on the pretext of attesting some forms. They picked up a fight and fired four shots at him. Shunty ducked and ran inside his house for cover as the assailants fled.
The cops are investigating the matter. The crime branch and special cell is also probing the case. BJP MLA Jitender Singh Shunty outside his house early Wednesday. Shunty is a legislator from Shahdara assembly seat in northeast Delhi and escaped narrowly in the incident.
As the legislator was looking at the documents, one of the papers fell on the ground.When he bent to pick the paper, Shanty saw one of the assailant pointing a pistol at him. He, howvere managed to grab the assailant’s arm before a shot could be fired and subsequently a struggle ensued for a while, before the legislator ran inside the house for cover.
It was then that the three shots were fired, following which the assailant fled from the spot. All the bullets missed their mark.
