Shah Rukh Khan,Gauri Offer Their Personal 4-Storey Office As Quarantine Facility
MUMBAI : After making a generous contribution to help the government fight coronavirus, Shah Rukh Khan has now offered his four-storey personal office in Mumbai to BMC in order to expand their quarantine capacity for children, women and the elderly.
Shah Rukh Khan has been actively contributing to the fight against the coronavirus pandemic. And now, the actor and his wife Gauri Khan have offered their four-storey office space to the Brihanmumbai Municipal Corporation (BMC), to help it expand its quarantine facility in the midst of the coronavirus outbreak. On Saturday, BMC took to Twitter and thanked the couple for their “thoughtful and timely gesture.”
Shah Rukh’s production company Red Chillies Entertainment tweeted: “Support makes everyone stronger. And in our fight against COVID-19 we need each other’s support as a society. Let’s help Besides posting awareness videos and busting myths related to the virus, the actor has also pledged to contribute to a variety of initiatives.
On Saturday morning, the official Twitter handle of BMC (Brihanmumbai Municipal Corporation) tweeted the news and thanked both Shah Rukh and his wife Gauri Khan for the gesture. “Stronger together. We thank Shah Rukh Khan and Gauri Khan for offering their 4-storey personal office space to help expand our quarantine capacity equipped with essentials for quarantined children, women and elderly. Indeed a thoughtful and timely gesture! Last year, Shah Rukh received an honorary Doctorate from University Of Law, London for philanthropy.
Netizens showered a whole lot of love to the actor, with tweets such as these flooding the Internet. “Shah Rukh Khan didn’t played Mohan Bhargava in Swades but the Shah Rukh Khan itself,” read a tweet while another added: “Another on point contribution.
He is setting benchmark for serving the people.” A user also pointed out that it’s not a company office but it is Shah Rukh and Gauri’s personal office that’s been offered.
