MUMBAI: Singer Abhijeet Bhattacharya is back in news once again. A 34-year-old woman has lodged an FIR against him at the Oshiwara Police station in Mumbai Thursday night, for allegedly molesting her.
A report in Indianexpress.com suggests that the woman, who had visited the Lokhandwala Durga Puja Mandal to watch Kailash Kher perform, was touched inappropriately by Abhijeet. Incidentally, Abhijeet is one of the organisers of the Mandal.
The woman in her report has claimed that she warned the singer to take his hand off her but when she protested, he called the women volunteers to take her away and then threatened her.Based on the complaint, the police has registered an FIR against Abhijeet under Section 354 A (Molestation) 506 & 34 of the IPC.
