Winning illustration of ‘Doodle 4 Google’ celebrates Children’s Day
MUMBAI: Google’s homepage for India has a doodle drawn by 9-year-old P Karthik from Sri Prakash Vidyaniketan, Visakhapatnam. He is the winner of 7th Doodle 4 Google competition held on the occasion of Children’s Day.

Karthik describes his vision for the doodle as, “This machine will recycle all the plastic waste from our country and turn it into a material which helps the growth of mother nature. This machine will turn the most powerful evil plastic into green.”
Group two participant, Saloni Singh of UK Convent School, Bhopal, Madhya Pradesh has made a poverty removing machine. She describes her doodle as: “My machine will solve the biggest problem of our country poverty. This machine will feed poor and then educate them so that they can move away from poverty and move closer to prosperity”
The participant of Group three, Sumedh H Supe of Delhi Public School, Udaipur, Rajasthan has some innovative creation idea for the doodle. he describes his doodle as: “This device would allow people to work while they sleep. People will be able to think of their most creative/imaginative thoughts in their sleep while everything is recorded in this machine and then in morning a print out can be taken to make these dreams into reality.”
The occasion marks the birth anniversary of India’s first prime minister Pandit Jawaharlal Nehru.
