‘Sheena Has Been Taken Away from Rahul’s Clutches’
MUMBAIL “Madam Sheena ko Rahul se chhudaya hain, jane do koi baat nahi” (Madam Sheena has been taken away from the clutches of Rahul. Let it be, don’t worry). This is what Peter Mukerjea had told his servant Pradeep Waghmare on April 25, 2012, a day after Sheena had disappeared, according to the domestic help’s statement to the CBI.
On the same day, Peter’s son, Rahul had gone to their Worli home, Marlow, and started asking Waghmare about Sheena. Rahul wanted to know if Sheena had visited the flat. Rahul even had a fight with the security guards, as they did not allow him to enter
“Rahul came to me to ask about Sheena, so I told him that as per the orders of Madam Indrani, I had not visited the flat at Marlow building on April 23-24, 2012,” said Waghmare in his statement to the CBI.
Servant knew Sheena was Indrani’s daughter Waghmare has told the CBI that he knew that Sheena was Indrani’s daughter and Mikhail was her son, but was afraid of talking about it.
CBI sources said it was strange that an employee knew that Sheena was Indrani’s daughter, and Peter did not know about it. When Waghmare cleaned the floor of the Worli apartment on April 25, 2012, he found a slipper he had never seen in the house before. So he called up Indrani and told her about it. She asked him to immediately destroy the slipper.
He also saw a lot of rotten food lying on the floor along with bottles of water and liquor. According to the statement given to the CBI by Indrani’s personal assistant Kajal Sharma, Peter and Indrani never travelled on the same flight, as they were worried for the future of their daughter Vidhie.
Sharma also revealed Indrani’s financial holdings. According to her, Indrani holds fixed deposits worth Rs. 6.92 crore and the family had 10 bank accounts and several properties that earned them handsome rent.
