Bihar polls: PMModi to woo voters in Bhagalpur today
BHAGALPUR: Days after the ‘Swabhiman’ rally of the grand alliance of the Janata Dal-United (JD-U), Rashtriya Janata Dal (RJD), Samajwadi Party and the Congress combine tried to woo voters in Bihar, Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Tuesday will address a rally in Bhagalpur to win votes for the Bharatiya Janata Party.
During the fourth ‘parivartan rally’ at Bhagalpur, the PM is expected to make important announcements for the district’s development.
Meanwhile, union minister and Lok Janshakti Party (LJP) chief Ram Vilas Paswan dubbed the ‘Swabhiman’ rally as a “flop show”, saying Congress president Sonia Gandhi was “insulted at the rally”.
“The rally was a flop show of the Nitish-Lalu combine. After this rally, the Congress and JD-U should merge into the RJD,” said Paswan.
“Sonia Gandhi wasn’t given priority as a speaker. She was insulted when she was asked to speak before RJD chief Lalu Prasad and Bihar Chief Minister Nitish Kumar,” the union minister had added.
