Deepika-Ranveer Return to Mumbai , Head to Bhavnani Residence
NEW DELHI :After a fairytale wedding at Lake Como in Italy, newlyweds Deepika Padukone and Ranveer Singh are back to India. The two were photographed at Mumbai airport on Sunday. The couple looked adorable as they stood together as Mr and Mrs Singh.
As soon as the pictures made their way to social media, they went viral and fans can’t stop gushing over the two. The couple opted for ethnic wear. While Ranveer wore a golden kurta teaming up with a magenta Nehru jacket, Deepika was seen wearing a long golden kurta with statement earrings and choker. The actress looked graceful as she wrapped a red dupatta around her. The two completed their look with black round glares.
The biggest Bollywood love story came true on November 14, 2018. of course, we are talking about the fairytale wedding of Deepika Padukone and Ranveer Singh which took place at the picturesque Lake Como in Italy. The gorgeous couple got married as per Konkani and Sindhi ceremonies on November 14 and 15 respectively.
However, now some of the photos from the Lake Como nuptials have trickled down to social media and a special one is of the newlyweds posing with Ranveer’s family. Ranveer and Deepika, on the day of their Konkani ceremony, can be seen with Ranveer’s father Jagjit Singh Bhavnani, his mother Anju Bhavnani and his sister Ritika Bhavnani. What really caught our attention is how Deepika holds ma-in-law Anju’s hand on the photo.
Deepika wore a red-and-gold kanjeevaram saree at the ceremony while Ranveer chose a veshti, kurta and angavastram — both chose designer Sabyasachi for the occasion. The couple got married in Italy’s Lake Como on November 14 and 15 and shared their first photos on Thursday. Ranveer and Deepika touched down in Mumbai on Sunday and are expected to shift to Deepika’s residence in the city’s Prabhadevi today.
At the airport on Sunday, Deepika wore a straight-cut beige suit with traditional red Banarasi dupatta, with sindoor on her forehead, henna on her hands and traditional red ‘chooda’ (bangles) on her wrists. Ranveer sported a matching kurta-pyjama with a pink Nehru jacket.
Ranveer had his protective arm around Deepika throughout the walk from the exit to the car. Both of them opted for round sunglasses to complete their look. Deepika and Ranveer will host three wedding receptions — one in Bengaluru and two in Mumbai. They are also expected to go on a short honeymoon before Ranveer returns for promotional duties for Rohit Shetty’s Simmba.
While the wedding was a strictly private affair with only family and close friends in attendance, even the pictures from the event were not shared before the ceremonies got over. So when the first pictures were officially shared by DeepVeer, the internet exploded and all you could see on social media timeline were their beautiful clicks.

The pre-wedding festivities kicked-off in both the households with an auspicious Nandi Puja at Padukone’s house in Bangalore and a Haldi ceremony at Ranveer’s residence. On Tuesday, the couple got engaged in Phool Muddi ceremony in Lake Como, Italy. Reportedly, the couple will get married according to Sindhi tradition on November 15, 2018. The two dated each other for nearly six years before entering matrimony.
The couple made their relationship official by announcing the wedding dates. The couple is going to have two receptions—in Bangalore and Mumbai respectively. Their Mumbai reception is going to take place at The Grand Hyatt.( with Inputs from HT and Zee)
