Pakistan Media Regulator imposes blanket ban on Indian content
ISLAMABAD: After the Indian Motion Picture Producers’ Association (IMPPA) imposed a ban on all Pakistani artistes working in India, now Pakistan Electronic Media Regulator approves blanket ban on Indian content, reportedly.
According to Times Now, Pakistan media regulator has banned airing of Indian content across media, including television, films and radio. Pakistan media regulator approves blanket ban on airing of Indian content in Pakistan from October 21, 2016, as per Times Now.
Also, Pak media regulator has warned channels of being banned if Indian content is found to be aired in their country. Meanwhile, Karan Johar’s ‘Ae Dil Hai Mushkil’ starring Pakistani actor Fawad Khan is facing protest in the country.
The situation between India-Pakistan became tense after the Uri attacks in Jammu and Kashmir, where as many as 19 Army personnel were killed.
