Punjab: Amarinder Singh Ropes In Veteran Journalist As Media Strategist
CHANDIGRAH: Senior journalist Raveen Thukral has been appointed as Media Strategist for Punjab Congress ahead of the upcoming Assembly elections.
This was announced in Chandigarh today by Punjab Pradesh Congress Committee (PPCC) chief Captain Amarinder Singh.
Mr Thukral has been entrusted with the task of drafting the media strategy for Captain Amarinder Singh, as well as the overall media approach to be adopted by PPCC for the upcoming polls.
Raveen Thukral is a veteran journalist who has extensively worked in Punjab and closely understands the media requirements in the state.
He has held several key media positions during his earlier stints, including Political Editor, Hindustan Times (Chandigarh), Associate Editor, Tribune (Chandigarh), and Chief Editor, India News.
Mr Thukral will head a team of media experts who will support him in coordinating with Captain Amarinder Singh’s office, as well as PPCC and IPAC teams.
The move is aimed at creating a holistic and impactful media strategy, as well as to strengthen and streamline the party’s media engagement, said the party in a press statement.
