PM Modi promises easier business environment in India
NEW DELHI : Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Sunday promised an easier business environment in India and said his govenrnment was working towards creating a policy that is predictable, transparent and fair.
Addressing the 7th Vibrant Gujarat Summit at Gandhinagar he said, “This event is perhaps the biggest gathering on earth where a budding entrepreneur has opportunity to see the president of the World Bank.”
Speaking dominantly in English, he said his government was working hard towards making India a global manufacturing hub while assuring a efforts for a fair and transparent policy.
“Ease of doing business in India is a prime concern for you and us. I assure you that we are working very seriously on these issues”, Modi said.
He said countries from across the globe were “coming forward to work with us” and that India was ready to work with global leadership on issues ranging from poverty to ecology.
“There is tremendous interest in India. Countries are coming forward to work with us”, Modi said.He also said the government of India was working towards single window clearance at the federal and state levels.
The Prime Minister also raised concerns on the fluctuations in global economy and called for the need to find a way for stability and recovery.We have to work towards sustainable and inclusive growth, he said.
In short span of 7 months we have been able to change the atmosphere of despair and uncertainty; we are working to revive the economy, the Prime Minister of the biggest democracy in the world said.
