PM Modi inaugurates ONGC’s sea survival Centre in Goa

PANAJI (GOA): Prime Minister Narendra Modi inaugurated ONGC’s sea survival center in Goa on Tuesday. It aims to advance the Indian sea survival training ecosystem to global standards as a one-of-a-kind Integrated Sea Survival Training Centre.
It is expected to train 10,000-15,000 personnel annually. Modi also attended a demo of sea survival training and safety drills.
Addressing the India Energy Week in Goa, the prime minister invited global players to participate in India’s energy sector growth, saying that the country is expected to increase its refining capacity from 254 MMTPA (million metric tons per annum) to 450 MMTPA by 2030..
He said, “In next 5-6 years, the investment of $67 billion is going to be done in energy sector in India.” The prime minister further said that India is investing unprecedented money in the energy sector that has never happened before. Modi also said that the country’s primary energy demand will be doubled by 2045.
As per to a statement by the Prime Minister’s Office (PMO), ONGC Sea Survival Centre is developed as a cutting-edge Integrated Sea Survival Training Centre. This facility is set to elevate India’s sea survival training ecosystem to global standards, with the capacity to train 10,000-15,000 personnel annually. According to PMO, it will be India’s largest and only all-encompassing energy exhibition and summit, bringing together the entire energy value chain, and will serve as a catalyst for India’s energy transition goals.
The Centre has been developed as a one-of-a-kind Integrated Sea Survival Training Centre to advance the Indian sea survival training ecosystem to global standards. Abilities and possibly raise their chances of making a safe escape from actual disasters.Achieving Aatma Nirbharta in energy requirements has been a key focus area of the Prime Minister.
After that Modi unveiled India Energy Week 2024. Apart from unveiling several important projects, he also lay the foundation stone of projects worth over Rs 1,330 crores in the Viksit Goa 2047 programme.It will be India’s largest and only all-encompassing energy exhibition and conference, bringing together the entire energy value chain, and will serve as a catalyst for India’s energy transition goals. PM will hold a roundtable with Global oil and gas CEOs and experts.
India Energy Week 2024 will place a strong emphasis on supporting and growing startups and incorporating them into the energy value chain. It is anticipated that over 35,000 people will attend, over 900 exhibitors will be present, and approximately 17 energy ministers from various nations will participate. Canada, Germany, the Netherlands, Russia, the United Kingdom, and the United States will each have a separate country pavilion. To highlight the creative solutions that Indian MSMEs are leading the way in the energy sector, a dedicated Made in India Pavilion is also being held.
