(LJP pesident) Ram Vilas Pasawan and (BJP president) Rajnath Singh do meet each other on various public occasions, but then if you are asking me about the talk of an alliance between the two presidents then it is a no,” Chirag Paswan told the media.
He said the LJP will decide on the future strategy after the meeting of the parliamentary board.
“There has been a distrust among the party leaders as there has been no clarity on the alliance. We are soon going to have the party parliamentary meet which will decide what our future strategy is going to be about,” he said. There are media reports that an alliance between the LJP and the BJP has been finalised. Ram Vilas Paswan had quit the BJP in 2002 protesting against the Gujarat riots.
“Narendra Modi has already been given clean chit by the court on the 2002 riots cases so that is not an issue to talk about now,” he added.
