Mulayam Singh Yadav Tests COVID-19 Positive
LUCKNOW: Samajwadi Party patriarch Mulayam Singh Yadav tested positive for the novel corona virus, the party tweeted on Wednesday.
“Samajwadi Party founder Mulayam Singh Yadav has tested positive for COVID-19, and is being monitored by doctors. As of now, there are no COVID symptoms in him,” it said.
However, social media users confused the MLC with his namesake, SP’s founder and former chief minister of UP. A spokesperson from the party confirmed that the leader, Akhilesh Yadav’s father, was alive and well.
Several social media users shared the images of SP founder and former CM Mulayam Singh Yadav to announce the death of another SP leader and MLC, with the same name.
