A woman in Kerala died after she accidentally hit a glass door at a Kerala bank. The incident took place at the Perumbavoor branch of Bank of Baroda. The deceased was identified as Beena Paul. Beena accidentally ran into the door and died after one of the glass pieces pierced her abdomen. The entire incident was caught on the CCTV camera installed at the bank.
On the day of the incident, Beena visited the bank to conduct a transaction. She went out of the bank after conducting the transactions but forgot her keys inside. Following this, Beena returned to take her keys and as she rushed out of the bank, she ran into the glass door.
Beena Paul, (40), while inside the bank, she tried to step out in a hurry to take an item from her car, said C Jayakumar, a police officer in Perumbavoor. CCTV visuals show Ms Paul trying to rush out of the bank but she accidentally walks right into the glass door.

The glass door broke into pieces after her head banged against the door, Mr Jayakumar said. She had not realised that the door was closed, he said. In the visuals, the woman appears to lose balance and sits on the floor.
She managed to get up, holding her stomach in pain. A glass piece allegedly pierced into her abdomen, causing severe injuries, including internal injuries, Mr Jayakumar said. Blood could be seen on the floor from the injury she had sustained.
People inside bank were seen rushing to the woman, helping her sit on a chair and holding her. A few minutes later, a group of people were seen carrying the woman out after covering her with a piece of cloth.
They initially did not realise what had happened. Once they did, they rushed Ms Paul to the nearest government hospital, the police said. The woman, however, could not be saved. The police have initiated a probe and said her autopsy is likely to be done today.
