J&K: Six militants killed in two encounters in Kupwara
SRINAGAR: In Jammu and Kashmir, six militants were killed in two separate encounters with security forces that broke out in Kupwara district yesterday. According to an army official, three militants were killed in the first encounter at Dobwan forest area in Lolab.
The gunfight broke out when a joint team of the police and Army launched a search after an input about the presence of heavily armed militants in the forest.
In the other encounter, three militants were killed at Waterkhani forest area in Drugmulla last evening. The official said that security forces launched a search operation following information about presence of militants there.
