Hindu College initiated meet with College Principals of AP on Leadership Development
NEW DELHI : Hindu College, one of the most prestigious Colleges of Delhi University, organized an interactive event with 36 Principals from Government Colleges of Andhra Pradesh. The event was aimed at providing practical and policy-planning immersion into key aspects of the National Education Policy 2020 (NEP).
The event was held in collaboration with the Commissionerate of Collegiate Education, Government of ANDHRA Pradesh, and
National Institute of Educational Planning and Administration , a research focused university, in Delhi, under Union Ministry of Education.
These are organizing a leadership training program for the Principals of Government Degree Colleges from Andhra Pradesh. The program is one of the signature initiatives in a series of Leadership Development Programs for institutional leaders in NIEPA. About 36 Principals from Government Colleges of Andhra Pradesh were nominated by the Commissioner, Collegiate Education, Government of Andhra Pradesh, to participate in the program.
The Principals of various Colleges were welcomed by the senior professors and Teacher-in-charges of various departments of Hindu College. The vibrant co-curricular activities were also shown to the delegates by the various societies led by students in the amphitheater. A thorough presentation about the academic activities of the college was shown to the delegates, and the smooth implementation of the New Education Policy in the college was addressed. The delegates also interacted with faculty members and students of the college.
The interactive event organized by Hindu College included various aspects of college life, followed by a presentation on institutional adaptation to various aspects of the NEP, FYUP(Four Year Undergraduate Programme),Entrepreneurship, and more. The event provided an opportunity for the participants to learn and explore new ideas and strategies that can be implemented in their respective colleges.
The delegates also toured the Research Centre and Multimedia Studio and were shown the latest innovation and research being done by the students and faculty members of the College. The event was highly successful, and the participants appreciated the efforts of Hindu College in organizing such an informative and interactive session.
The college has always been committed to the cause of a holistic education and has taken various initiatives to promote such education and learning and this event was a shining example of this commitment.
