GOA: CM Sawant dares Sardinha to present report card of last 5 years

MARGAON: On a day when the Aam Admi Party (AAP) announced MLA Venzy Viegas as the party candidate for South Goa, the BJP opened its South Goa election office at Margao on Tuesday evening with Chief Minister Pramod Sawant throwing a gauntlet at Congress South Goa MP Francisco Sardinha to give his report card what the MP has done for Goa and the constituency in the last five years.
Promising the double engine government will complete the remaining projects in South Goa in particular and Goa in general, Sawant said all the talukas in the state have benefited from the projects sanctioned by the Centre in the last 10 years.
On this occasion Ashish sood,the BJP election IN charge for Goa, North Goa MP & Minister of State for Tourism Shripad Naik, Rajya Sabha MP Sadanand Shet Tanawade Also present were minister of State for tourism Shrpad Naik, bjp State President and rajya sabha MP Sadanand Sjet Tanawade and others.
Saying the people of South Goa are wise and will give the Seat to make Narendra Modi the prime Minister for the third time, the Chief Minister said he is confident that people of Salcete will vote for the BJP in a big way in the coming Lok Sabha polls. Referring to AAP’s decision to contest the South Goa seat, the CM said the “INDIA” opposition alliance no more exists after AAP decided to field MLA Venzy for South Goa, adding “this is happening because no one has trust in the Congress party and Rahul Gandhi”.

The election office opening was attended by Party bigwigs including Party Chief Sadanand Tanavade, Salcete lone Minister Alexio Sequeira, Minister Subhash Faldesai, Union Minister Shripad Naik, MLAs, besides the probable candidates shortlisted by the party, including Digambar Kamat, ex-MP Narendra Sawaikar, Damu Naik and ex-Dy CM Chandrakant Kavlekar.
GOa has been always lucky for Prime Minister Narendra Modi as his name was proposed by the than goa CM Manohar Parrikar during the bjp NATIONAL party meeting held in Goa before 2014 loksabha elections.
While addressing the party workers chief minister announced that “exactly 60 days are remaining for the lok sabha election and party has launched the election campaign with a slogan “ABKI BAR 400 PAR”.
