Angry with ministers, Goa Assembly Speaker threatens to resign

PANJIM: Angry with the behavior of ministers and MLAs in Goa, Assembly Speaker Ramesh Tawadkar has threatened to resign from his post. Accusing the BJP MLAs and ministers of not listening to the Speaker, Tawadkar said that if they are not respecting the post of Speaker, then I would think it better to resign from my post.
Mr. Ramesh Tawadkar was expressing anguish over the situation of the BJP party in Goa. He said that if the MLAs and ministers are not respecting the dignity of the post of Speaker, then what is the justification for remaining in this post? Angry with the BJP MLAs and ministers, in such a situation, it is better for him to leave the post of Assembly Speaker.
He said that I have tried to give a message to Delhi along with the situation going on within the party in Goa.
The situation within the BJP party is getting worse since November 2023 and the demand for change of leadership in Goa is increasing. But it is getting delayed due to the Lok Sabha elections first and now the assembly elections.
He said that the disclosure of money in various ways for Goa government jobs has brought a bad name to the BJP government in Goa. Dr. Ramesh Tawadkar made this remark while talking to the media in Margao on Tuesday on the eve of Bhagwan Birsa Munda Gaurav Diwas.
