Renowned Astrologer Bejan Daruwalla dies in Ahmedabad
AHMEDABAD: The world-renowned astrologer Bejan Daruwalla(90) passed away in Ahmedabad on Friday. His son told news agency that he was suffering from pneumonia. Daruwalla breathed his last at 5.13 pm.
He was undergoing treatment for pneumonia at a private hospital and was reportedly on ventilator support for the last few days. Speaking to PTI, his son Nastur Daruwalla refuted the reports claiming that his father succumbed to coronavirus. He was suffering from only pneumonia. Bejan Daruwalla was known for his newspaper columns on astrology.
Born on 11 July 1931, Bejan Daruwalla was well known for combining the principles of various techniques like Vedic astrology, Numerology, Palmistry, I-Ching, Tarot, Kabalah and even Western astrology for his predictions. He was a devotee of Lord Ganesha.
As per his website Ganeshaspeaks, Bejan followed three principles in his life: “Keeping an open mind, observing keenly and research completely”. Ganeshaspeaks enjoys a huge following globally. It is one of the most popular sites for those interested in astrology
Mr Daruwalla was one of the most famous astrology columnists in the country. He had been associated with several newspapers, magazines and news channel in his decades-long career. He was also a professor of English in Ahmedabad. In 2015, Mr Daruwalla said Prime Minister Narendra Modi had shown him his palm.
