‘Alliance DP intensifies protest, YSR Congress joins in
NEW DELHI :The TDP MPs intensified its protest against the ‘injustice’ towards Andhra Pradesh in the Union Budget, on the fourth day, both inside and outside Parliament.
In its attempt to pacify TDP, the Union Government said its ‘sensitive’ towards the state’s demand and that the Finance Minister Arun Jaitley will address their concerns, during his reply on budget discussion.
The TDP MPs protested outside Parliament before the session began in the morning. Both the Lok Sabha and Rajya Sabha also witnessed several adjournments after the TDP MPs stormed the wells.
Law makers of BJP ally Telugu Desam Party disrupted Lok Sabha proceedings on Tuesday by staging a vociferous protest in the Well and demanding that the Narendra Modi government “follow alliance dharma” and fulfil the promises made while bifurcating Andhra Pradesh.
After a marathon discussion on the Union Budget marred by the agitation by TDP members, the House is adjourned for the day. It will meet again at 11 a.m. on February 9.(Friday )
