BSP Chief Mayawati rules out pre-poll alliance
LUCKNOW : In Uttar Pradesh, BSP chief Mayawati has said that central government has not fulfilled even one fourth of its poll promises made during 2014 Lok sabha elections. She also fiercely attacked the state government led by Akhilesh Yadav describing it as a government of goons and mafias.
Addressing a rally of party workers organised to commemorate the tenth death anniversary of Kanshi Ram in Lucknow, Mr. Mayawati levelled charges of biased attitude on central government towards religious minorities and Dalits .
She said such atrocities on Dalits and Muslims are rampant in the states led by BJP. She called upon the gathering to bring BSP government in 2017 elections, which she termed will be real tribute to Kanshiram.
Rejecting any possibility of pre or post poll alliance with any party, Ms Mayawati said that there will be no such thing during forth coming elections of Uttar Pradesh, Uttrakhand and Punjab.
She said that BSP will go alone in the forthcoming elections and accused BJP of taking political advantage of the recent happenings on India Pakistan border saying that all the credit goes to the army and our brave soldiers .
According to reports that addressing her supporters in the rally organised today to commemorate the tenth death anniversary of Dalit icon Kanshiram, she said that if comes to power she will not build memorials but would focus on the overall development of the state.
She promised that development, law and order, corruption free governance and establishing the rule of law will be her core focus areas. She criticised Mulayam Singh Yadav saying that due to his ‘Son Affection’, the SP has been divided into camps of Akhilesh and Shivpal, which will try to defeat each other’s candidates.
Attacking on Congress Party Mayawati said that due to its anti people policies, the Congress has been marginalised not only in the state of UP but also at the centre.
