Next CM to be decided by majority Says Shivpal Yadav

maxresdefaultLUCKNOW : UP president of Samajwadi party (SP) Shivpal Yadav on Thursday played down rumours of a rift between the senior members of his party and said that SP would emerge victorious again in the 2017 Assembly elections.

“We will fight the upcoming elections unitedly and I am confident our party will once again form the government in 2017 in the state,” Yadav told reporters.

Asserting that there is no communication gap in the party, he said, “We’ll follow the orders of Netaji (Mulayam Singh Yadav), I’ve been made the state chief and I will do my job. No one can challenge his decision.”

Asked if Akhilesh Yadav would again be the CM candidate in the 2017 elections, Yadav said, “Will accept whatever netaji (Mulayam Singh) decides. Whoever is given responsibility, whatever it be..we have to follow that.”

Replying to a question on why his cabinet portfolios were taken away by the chief minister, he said, “I had no clue about the portfolios taken away from me. This is a decision taken by the CM and also Netaji.”

“I will not contest CM’s decision. Allocating portfolios is his prerogative,” Yadav said at a press conference.“Whenever I sought an appointment with CM Akhilesh, I got it. I didn’t know that I would be made state president so soon,” Yadav said.

Exuding confidence that his party would win the upcoming state elections, he said, “Netaji has given me a responsibility. And I accept that. Referring to Amar Singh’s alleged role in creating tensions within the party, he said, “Amar Singh has already denied he has any role in the crisis.”“No one is big or small in the party but people become big through their work. Everybody can’t have the same ideology in a party,” he added.
