NIA Office Tanzeel Ahmad murder case: Main accused Muneer arrested
NEW DELHI: The Special task force STF has arrested main accused Muneer in the NIA DY SP Tanzeel Ahmad murder case from NCR today. Talking to AIR, SSP STF Amit Pathak said that Muneer has been arrested and an intense interrogation is going on with him.
Muneer is also involved in several other heinous crimes so the interrogation will encompass all the relevant points, Pathak said. A press conference will be held in NOIDA at 3.00 in the afternoon today to put the facts and details before media about his arrest, Pathak added.
According to the reports that earlier on June 16, Aligarh police and STF had nabbed Muneer’s close aide Atiullah Khan in a joint operation.
The NIA officer Tanzeel Ahmad, who had handled several cases related to the Indian Mujahideen including the arrest and probe against its India chief Yasin Bhatkal, was shot dead at Sahaspur in Bijnor on April 3rd by bike-borne assailants when he was returning from a family wedding with his wife and two children.
