`Tortured Hindu’families enter Tripura from B’desh
KOLKATA: A report reaching here from Tripura while didn’t sensationalise Bengal it has all potentiality of tainting Indo-Bangladesh ties.
The report reaching here said about 200 minority families entered India from Khoi River. “They are scared of torture in Bangladesh though Bangladesh Border Security Force assured them peace and resettlement,’’ a BSF official said on the condition of anonymity, adding, “scared they would listen to nothing.’
However, neither Tripura Government nor any human rights body publicly reacted so far. Even Bengal BJP leaders who recently met Bangladesh High Commissioner didn’ choose to react.
