NEW DELHI : Just a couple of hours before the beginning of a workshop organised by the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) for its Members of Parliament (MPs), several of its leaders were seen having light-hearted moments at the workshop venue in New Delhi on Saturday.

BJP MPs Rajyavardhan Singh Rathore, Babul Supriyo, Manoj Tiwari and Ravi Kishan were seen singing and sharing a laugh together in a video that the former Union Minister Rathore himself shared on his official Twitter handle.
In the video shared by Rajyavardhan Rathore, Babul Supriyo starts singing Kishore Kumar’s classic ‘Ye Shaam Mastaani’, first in Bengali and then switching to Hindi. BJP’s Delhi unit chief Manoj Tiwari, who himself is a celebrated singer, joins the bandwagon before Rathore reluctantly starts singing along with them. Newly-elected MP from Gorakhpur and superstar of Bhojpuri cinema Ravi Kishan emerges from behind and whistles to the tune of the evergreen Bollywood track.
Rathore tweeted the video with the caption: “Working hard, working happy. Visible high energy just prior to BJP MPs workshop under the dynamic leadership of Shri Narendra Modi ji to serve our nation better.”
The two-day weekend workshop has been organised for all the BJP parliamentarians, especially the newcomers, to provide them a mannerism class to discipline all its members.
The workshop has been organised on the agenda of the ‘Abhyas Varga’ training programme and it has been made compulsory for all BJP lawmakers from Lok Sabha and Rajya Sabha to attend. They will also be informed on how to connect with masses on issues related to public welfare.
The Saffron BJP’s two-day training programme for all its parliamentarians began in New Delhi on Saturday. Top party leaders, including Prime Minister Narendra Modi, Home Minister Amit Shah, working president JP Nadda and others attended the first session of the orientation programme held at Parliament’s library building.
The event named ‘BJP Abhyas Varga’ has been kept out of bounds for the media and only a photo op of the inauguration was allowed. Sources within the party said that the main aim behind the two-day class is to train debutante MPs and rein in some of the lawmakers who have been reprimanded in the past for their misconduct.

BJP’s Abhyas Varga is being organised in the backdrop of PM Modi expressing displeasure over the conduct of party leaders. Newly-elected MP like Sadhvi Pragya has given the party plenty to worry about.
The session – “Abhyas Varga”, an exercise already in effect in various states including Himachal Pradesh, is believed to be an effort to familiarise young, first-time lawmakers and also the seasoned lawmakers of their rights and responsibilities.
The Bhopal MP had praised Mahatma Gandhi’s assassin Nathuram Godse during election campaigning leaving the BJP red-faced. Facing intense flak from all quarters, PM Modi himself had to come out for party’s rescue. “I will never be able to forgive Pragya Thakur for insulting Mahatma Gandhi,” Modi had said.
