Where minority community constitutes 40% of the population, riots are on rise: Yogi

268611-yogiNEW DELHI : Quite vocal about his religious views, the BJP MP Yogi Adityanath stroked a controversy when he said that communal riots happen in the places where a particular minority community constitute 20-40 percent of the total population“There is no place for other communities at places where population of the minority community is more than 40 percent. These are the areas where communal riots are on rife,” said Yogi Adityanath.
He further added that other communities are forced to migrate from such areas and if they resist they are wiped out.“We will have to accept the fact about what happened in the Kashmir Valley and if we don’t then we are misleading people,” he said. The BJP’s Gorakhpur MP, who has been entrusted with the responsibility to lead BJP campaign for the upcoming bye-elections in Uttar Pradesh, said that Hindus will retaliate in the same manner if they are attacked or forced to convert their religion.Earlier, in a provocative video, Adityanath had asked his fellow men to marry 100 women of a particular community if Love-Jihad incidents continue to happen.”If they take our one girl, we will take their 100 girls,” Adityanath said while addressing a massive crowd undated video posted on YouTube.
It seems controversies and Adityanath go hand in hand as last month he created a huge controversy with his speech in Parliament where he called on Hindus to take matters in their hands and accused opposition Congress of working on Pakistan’s agenda. However, his recent remarks did not go down well with the Opposition parties. Reacting to his remarks, the Congress leader Rashid Alvi said, “We condemn such remarks. These remarks incite communal violence.”
On the other hand, the Samajwadi Party leader Naresh Agarwal said that riots are riots and they don’t have a caste or religion.“I don’t understand this logic that riots are only happening in places where BJP is not in power,” he further added.
