Maharashtra: MNS workers vandalise yet another toll booth

mns [1]MUMBAI : Maharashtra Navnirman Sena workers vandalised yet another toll booth in Maharashtra on Tuesday night at Uran. No one has been arrested so far. The incident comes just a day after the Mumbai Police served a notice to Maharashtra Navnirman Sena after its chief Raj Thackeray threatened a statewide agitation against toll collection
Raj Thackeray had threatened to launch a statewide road blockade agitation on Wednesday over the toll collection issue. Addressing a rally in Pune, he also attacked the Shiv Sena for not supporting him.
Thackeray said he will continue his agitation till the time the ‘illegal’ toll collection centres are shut. He even dared the Maharashtra goverment to arrest him.
“On February 12, I will lead a statewide road blockade over toll collection. I will see how the government tries to stop or arrest me. I will continue my agitation till the time the ‘illegal’ toll collection centres are shut. When I target the government, the Shiv Sena targets me. Are they with the government or in the opposition,” Thackeray asked.
“My meeting with chief minister Prithviraj Chavan to resolve the (toll) issue has proved futile. I am left with no option but to continue my agitation against the collection of toll and to side with the anger of people against the unjustified road tax,” Raj said addressing the rally.
Thackeray is already facing multiple cases for instigating his party cadre to vandalise toll booths across the state.
