HOWRAH (WB):  There is no measure of happiness and if that happiness overflows from the eyes of a mother, it becomes priceless. This happiness was seen in a mother on Tuesday when her daughter was receiving the certificate of her proficiency as a skilled artisan in front of her eyes. Seeing this happen, her mother was becoming emotional…There were tears of grief and hope in her eyes.

A mother’s tears of joy were falling like precious pearls on every word of her daughter’s proficiency in front of her eyes. The mother was expressing the feelings of the words coming out of her heart with her daughter. Words kept increasing and the speed of the tears also increased.
There came a moment when the words stopped but the tears made the feeling of happiness very lively. The silent tears were telling many stories… In fact, during the skill development training certificate distribution program organized at “Bhot Bagan Urdu Girls High School” located under Belur police station area of ​​Howrah, a mother’s tears of joy bore witness to the importance of skill development.
After completing the skill development competency, the daughter got a job. Which provided financial support to the family and brought positive changes in life. Now there is happiness, enthusiasm and excitement in her life. The mother has given the credit for this to Reyaz Ahmed, member of the Administrative Board of Howrah Municipal Corporation.
The commendable efforts of Reyaz Ahmed, member of the Administrative Board of Howrah Municipal Corporation, under the “Eklavya” initiative of Calcutta Electric Supply Corporation (India) Limited, a skill development training center was started in Bhot Bagan Urdu Girls High School from the year 2022. In which training related to “retail” (grocery) and “sewing” (garments) is given. A certificate of efficiency is also provided on completion of turning. In the year 2022-23 and 2023-24, about 280 students completed skill development training and many of them got jobs. Today they are contributing to the development of their family, society, state and country by becoming self-reliant.
On this occasion, during the program held in the premises of Bhot Bagan Urdu Girls High School on Tuesday, the guests were honored by giving angavastra. Also, the students who got jobs after skill development training were honored by giving angavastra and gifts. At the same time, about 150 students of the 2023-24 class were given certificates on completion of skill development training.
On this special occasion, senior journalist Shabbir Ahmed, Indian Federation of Working Journalists (IFWJ) State Coordinator Amit Rai, journalist Alamgir Ahmed, CESC officials, Belur police station officials and others were present. Also, parents, students and girls became eyewitnesses of this moment in large numbers.
