[1]NEW DELHI: The Delhi Police on Thursday registered a FIR against former Delhi law minister Somnath Bharti on the basis of a complaint filed by his wife Lipika Mitra.
A court had on July 07 dismissed the anticipatory bail plea of Aam Aadmi Party legislator Somnath Bharti, accused of harassing his wife, saying his application was premature as there was no FIR lodged against him.
Bharti’s wife Lipika Mitra filed a complaint of domestic violence against her husband at the Delhi Commission for Women (DCW) on June 10, 2015, alleging that the AAP leader has been abusing her ever since their marriage in 2010.
Bharti is now an Aam Aadmi Party legislator.
