Depletion of Seahorse in river sal is of major concern Says Scientist Sripada

PANJIM( GOA): Senior Principal Scientist Sripada Ananta Rayadurga (NIO) made a startling revelation that sightings of seahorse in Goa was becoming a rarity. He said that seahorse is used as a flagship species for the determination of the health of the coastal ecosystem. He said that the depletion of Seahorse in river sal is of major concern.
Friends of Siddhart Karapurkar (FOSK) Oorganisation was successfully launched today at the hands of former bureaucrat Elvis Gomes. The keynote speaker for the function was Senior Principal Scientist Sripada Ananta Rayadurga (NIO) who addressed the gathering.
With his vast experience in the field of Marine Ecology The Members resolved to save the River Sal in South Goa by engaging with the government and sensitising the youth as river sal rejuvenation was high on the priority of late Sidharth. Solon Furtado was elected as the first President of FOSK , Mervyn Menezes the General Secretary and Yogesh Nagvenkar the treasurer.
