Daniel Vettori announces retirement from international cricket

Soon after arriving at the Auckland Airport along with his team mates to a crowd of around 500 supporters, the southpaw told media that the final of the Cricket World Cup was his last game representing Black Caps.The news was confirmed by New Zealand’s official account on Twitter.
In his 18-year-old career, the 36-year-old played 113 tests and 295 ODIs.ICC also confirmed the news on Twitter.Even though New Zealand lost to Aussies in the final of cricket’s biggest extravaganza, that didn’t stop the Kiwi supporters from turning out in big numbers to welcome their World Cup heroes.
Led by Brendon McCullum, New Zealand won the hearts of millions of cricket fans across the world who hailed their sportsmanship and quality play during the tournament.
They were unbeaten in the tournament till the final, where they suffered a crushing defeat against the Aussies, who went on to claim their fifth title.
