Centre blames UP govt for Mathura clashes as toll climbs to 24

tzdhymmmtg-1464926103 [1]NEW DELHI: Centre has blamed Uttar Pradesh government over Mathura clash which led to the killing of 24 people including two police men.
Talking to reporters in New Delhi today, Minister of State for Home, Kiren Rijiju said there was lapse on the part of state government and it should ensure that such unfortunate incidents do not recur. He said Home Ministry is waiting for UP government’s report over the incident.
Meanwhile, ​Director General of Police of ​Uttar Pradesh Javeed Ahmad has said that the police is ​in process to enforce the National Security Act NSA against the leaders of the protesters along with others who were illegally occupying Mathura’s Jawahar Bagh for the last two years.​ ​
The Mathura Police has launched a massive manhunt for ​mastermind ​Ramvri​k​sh Yadav, who​ earlier was believed ​to be killed during the clashes. ​

According to official sources, it was Yadav who had provoked people inside Jawahar Bagh to attack the police contingent.​ Twelve teams have been formed to nab Yadav​. A probe panel has been formed under supervision of the Commissioner of Aligarh who will submit report on the whole incident.​

“​Sources said that the state government may take action against top police officers stationed in Mathura as they failed to gauge the situation. ​CM Akhilesh Yadav has expressed shock and surprise on the way operation was launched without due preparedness.

Meanwhile an inconsolable mother of slain SP Mukul Dwivedi today refused the financial aid of Rs 20 lakh given by chief minister.On the other hand, the people of Sujanganj at Janupur, the native place of martyred SHO Santsoh Yadav, are tearfully waiting for the mortal remains of their brave son.
