“ Bihari’s are stuck across the country & Nitish Kumar is teaching on morality: Prashan Kishor

prashant_kishorPATNA:  Poll strategist Prashant Kishor took a swipe at Bihar CM Nitish Kumar, saying people from the state were stuck in different parts of the country but JD(U) chief was giving lessons about “principles of lockdown.”He is probably the only chief minister who has not stepped out of his residence during the lockdown, Kishor claimed.
The UP government’s decision came days after the Bihar government refused to take its students back. The students were given passes to leave Rajasthan by the District Magistrate, and reached the border of their home state in taxis with permits, but were refused entry by Bihar Monday.
“It was upsetting because many people had got their hopes up, including me. Nothing was clear about it at the time. Now that the UP government has decided to take back students, Bihar should do the same,” said a student from Siwan who did not wish to be named. “Our studies have been completely disrupted and if other governments take their students away, it will make those left behind feel worse,” the student added.
The Bihar chief minister has appealed to the students and migrant workers “to stay wherever you are, the state government is extending all possible helps”.
The local governments are doing something but Nitish Kumar has not spoken yet to the concerned states. Even during his meeting with PM, he (Nitish Kumar) didn’t mention it”, tweeted Mr. Kishor in Hindi, while tagging a news report that said “Injustice to lockdown, says Nitish Kumar on buses for students”.
“He is so sensitive and busy that he did not find it necessary to even speak to chief ministers of other states to help people from Bihar stuck there, let alone doing anything,” he said in a tweet, mocking Kumar.
“People from Bihar are stuck across the country, and Nitish Kumar is giving lessons in principles of lockdown. Various state governments may be doing something but Nitish has not spoken to the states concerned. He did not raise the issue during the meeting (of CMs) with the prime minister,” Kishor added.
Kishor, once a confidant of the JD(U) president before their differences led to his expulsion, attached a news report about Kumar’s objection to the Uttar Pradesh government sending buses to bring back students from Kota in Rajasthan.
Kishor had also questioned the decision of the second round of the lockdown for 19 days and asked if the government has an alternate plan in case the lockdown doesn’t give the desired results till May 3.
