Big -B denies ‘Panama Papers’ links, says his name has been misused
NEW DELHI: Recently the entertainment world was rocked by a shocking revelation of black-money scandal – Panama papers. Popular Bollywood names featured in the notorious list including megastar Amitabh Bachchan and Aishwarya Rai.

He said “I do not know any of the companies referred to by Indian Express – Sea Bulk Shipping Company Ltd, Lady Shipping Ltd, Treasure Shipping Ltd and Tramp Shipping Ltd,” the actor said in a statement.
“I have never been a director of any of the above stated companies,” he said. “It is possible that my name has been misused.”
Amitabh added: “I have paid all my taxes, including on monies spent by me overseas. Monies that I have remitted overseas have been in compliance with law, including remittances through LRS, after paying Indian taxes.
More than 11 million documents from the secret files of the Panama-based law firm Mossack Fonesca are being referred to as Panama Papers. These are secret documents of firms belongings to global and Indian power-figures parking money in the tax haven.
After being blamed for some time for not voicing his opinion on the whole matter, the ‘Piku’ star has broken his silence for the first time and claimed that he has paid all his taxes.
The actor tweeted: “It is possible that my name has been misused. I’ve paid all my taxes including on monies spent by me overseas.”
