Arvind Kejriwal set to rule Delhi as AAP projected to bag 59-68 seats

ArvindKejriwal-5NEW DELHI : Arvind Kejriwal set to rule Delhi as AAP projected to bag 59-68 seats: Axis exit poll Arvind Kejriwal has surely become a player in the political field. His party had won 67 seats in the 2015 polls and in this election, it is projected to register a clean sweep in 59-68 Assembly constituencies.
BJP is set for a mega rout. Arvind Kejriwal’s Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) is poised to sweep today’s Delhi election, with a best-case scenario that surpasses even its 2015 tally of 67/70 seats, the  exit poll suggests.
The saffron BJP had won three constituencies in the 2015 polls. It may register its victory in 2-11 seats. The Congress is predicted to stare at a duck with zero seats.  The AAP’s projected tallies fall in the 59-68 seat range. Its main rival, the BJP, is predicted to win between two and 11 seats. The Congress isn’t even a player in the Delhi election. The Congress looks wiped out.
Meanwhile, Exit polls will fail, BJP will win 48 seats: Manoj Tiwari
As most of the exit poll results have shown a clean sweep for the Aam Aadmi Party (AAP), Delhi BJP chief Manoj Tiwari has said that all the exit poll results will “fail”. He has also exuded the confidence that the BJP would win 48 seats and no less.
The South Delhi region, which comprises a majority of Dalits votes, has polled in the favour of the Aam Aadmi Party (AAP), the India Today-Axis My India shows. While the South Delhi region has given 9-10 seats to AAP, the BJP has been given 0-1 seats.
while, The East Delhi region is leaning towards the Aam Aadmi Party (AAP), predicts the India Today-Axis My India exit poll result. While AAP is predicted to bag 9-10 seats in East Delhi region, the BJP is projected to register its victory in 0-1 seats. The Congress may have failed to impress the East Delhi voters as it is staring at a duck in the East Delhi region.
Chandni Chowk, which had voted for the BJP in the Lok Sabha polls, has now seemed to have chosen the Aam Aadmi Party. The party is projected to win 9-10 seats in Chandni Chowk region, and the BJP is predicted to get only 0-1 seat.
North East Delhi exit poll the voters may have chosen the Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) as the exit poll results has predicted that the Arvind Kejriwal party may walk away with 16-19 seats. The BJP, on the other hand, would probably have to manage with only 1-4 seats. In all the three regions — West, East, North East Delhi — the AAP is winning 23-28 seats. The BJP may have to walk away with 2-7 Assembly constituencies.
The exit poll results have given 7-9 seats to Aam Aadmi Party and 1-3 seats to the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP). Congress, like in West Delhi, may not bag even a single constituency in North West Delhi.

An aggregate of four exit polls also said the BJP will win 14 of Delhi’s 70 seats and the Congress, zero. Times Now predicted 47 seats for AAP and 23 for the BJP. ABP News-C Voter predicted 49-63 seats for AAP and 5-19 for BJP. A party needs 36 in the Delhi assembly for a majority.
AAP won 67 seats in 2015; since then the party has conceded one seat to the BJP in a bypoll and six of its lawmakers have been disqualified after joining other parties. Most polls have given the Congress, which ruled Delhi for three straight terms before AAP came to power, between one and three seats. If exit polls prove correct, Mr Kejriwal’s party is set to lose around 16 seats since its 2015 sweep.
The BJP may have benefited from a last-minute surge after a sharply polarizing campaign revolving around the narrative that the Shaheen Bagh protest against the citizenship law CAA is “anti-national” and backed by traitors.
This election is Delhi’s first since massive protests erupted nearly two months ago over the controversial Citizenship Amendment Act (CAA), which, critics say, violates India’s secular constitution and discriminates against Muslims.
In the 2015 assembly polls, the AAP won 54.3 per cent of the vote, the BJP won 32 per cent and the Congress managed just 9.6 per cent.
