NEW DELHI : After forming the government in the capital Delhi, the BJP government has given Holi gift to lakhs of women. The Delhi government has decided to allocate a fund of Rs 5100 crore for the Mahila Samridhi Yojana. The state cabinet has accepted the proposal presented in this regard. After the cabinet’s decision, the way has been cleared for eligible women of Delhi to get Rs 2500 every month.
Before the assembly elections, the Bharatiya Janata Party had promised to run the Mahila Samridhi Yojana in case of forming the government in Delhi and give Rs 2500 every month to eligible women under it. After the formation of the government, Chief Minister Rekha Gupta has taken a big step in this direction and approved a fund of more than five thousand crore rupees in this item. On the occasion of International Women’s Day, Chief Minister Rekha Gupta said, ‘Today (8 March 2025) is a beautiful occasion of Women’s Day when we have approved the promise of giving Rs 2500 to the poor sisters of Delhi under the Mahila Samridhi Yojana in our manifesto for the Delhi elections.

During the Delhi Assembly elections, the Aam Aadmi Party had promised to give Rs 2100 every month to women. Registration was also done for this. After this, the BJP released an election manifesto in the name of Sankalp Patra. In this, the BJP had promised to implement the Mahila Samridhi Yojana and give Rs 2500 every month to eligible women in case of forming the government in Delhi. The date of registration of Mahila Samridhi Yojana has also been approved in the cabinet meeting. Women holding BPL cards will get the benefit of this scheme. Along with this, the implementation of Ujjwala Yojana in Delhi has also been announced. After the approval of Mahila Samridhi Yojana from the Delhi Cabinet, CM Rekha Gupta said in a program organized on International Women’s Day at Jawaharlal Nehru Stadium – Previous governments did nothing for women. But we will fulfill your expectations. We will fulfill the promise made to the sisters in Delhi.
CM Rekha Gupta said that PM Modi understood that the progress of the country will not happen through just one class. Its path passes through the progress of women. She said that as a double engine government with the central government, planning has been done to do every work that can make Delhi more safe and prosperous. CM Rekha said that in the last 15 days, the BJP government of Delhi discussed many schemes which are very important for the safety of the sisters of Delhi. These include increasing the number of CCTV cameras to connecting PCR with women and the presence of women constables in it. Work will be done in Delhi to increase the number of pink police stations from pink PCR. Rekha Gupta said that every promise made to the women of Delhi will be fulfilled.
