Heavy rains disrupt normal life in several parts across India
JAIPUR/ NEW DELHI : Heavy downpour is disrupting normal life in several parts of country since last couple of days, however, the national capital has been experiencing major relief with the showers brining down the temperature significantly.
In Uttarakhand incessant rainfall is occurring for last three days, resulting in disruption of communication on link roads. In Rajasthan, heavy rains have caused death and destructions.Three persons have been killed in Karuali district which is facing a flood like situation.
In Assam, over 300 villages have been inundated in current flood in six districts. Over 76 thousand people have been affected in Golaghat district alone.Jorhat District administration has set up 16 relief camps where around 4 thousand people are taking shelter.
In Rajasthan, incessant rain has created flood like situation at various places. Most of the dams and rivers are overflowing in south eastern parts. Several roads and rail lines have been disrupted that affected train services in the state.Situation is still grim in Chittorgarh, Bhilwara and Pali districts following heavy rain.
Our correspondent reports that Army has been put on alert in Bhilwara district following incessant rain.Normal life has been badly affected in south eastern districts following heavy rain since last few days.Some places in Chittorgarh have been submerged under water and district administration with help of NDRF and SDRF is engaged in relief work.
Jodhpur city yesterday received heavy rain fall of this monsoon season which affected normal life. Extra water has been releasing from Bisalpur dam and Kota barrage. State has received 40 per cent more rainfall to normal.
